Costa Rica in 2013

Helen and I took a delightful trip to Costa Rica with a lovely group of 20 people. The country has an unusually dense animal population because they have made a national goal of Biodiversity and tourism has become their most successful fund generator. We had a great time.

Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany in 2012
Part 1 of 2

Helen and I took a trip to Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany in August 2012. The trip was wonderful. We went specifically to see "The Floriade" in The Netherlands and the "Carpet of Flowers" in Belgium and had the companionship of a group of many lovely people. We added on a three day trip to two towns in Germany where Helen's parents had grown up. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Iran 2011
Part 1 of 2

I visited Iran during a couple of weeks in April 2011. The country was very different from what I expected. These two videos make that clear. I had a great chance to interact with the general population and travel throughout the country. Since the children are taught English from an early age in school I spoke with many of them. This was a real eye opening trip.

Vietnam and Cambodia 2010
Part 1 of 2

We visited Vietnam and Cambodia during 15 days in November 2010. We saw many interesting archaeological sights including Ankor Wat, Ankor Thom, the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden City in Hue. We had a chance to interact with local people and saw museums, ancient bridges and houses, everyday folks at work in the fields and pursuing creative talents in the arts and many, many other interesting things. We hope some day to return to some of these special places.
